Our Mission

Our Values

  • Grassroots: A movement fueled and led by and for the diverse communities of the 25th Ward.

  • Community-centered: We build working class power to protect the well-being of our community, independent from political interests or politicians.

  • Political movement: We advocate for policies that support equity, housing for all, an end to gentrification, a safe sustainable environment, a more just justice system, and economic opportunity for all.

  • The Many: The 25th Ward is home to working class people and many immigrants who enrich our community, culture, and economy. We protect each other and fight against anti-blackness and xenophobia and for our collective interests.

  • Pilsen, La Villita, and Beyond: Our power comes from community, and our practice is solidarity with communities of the working class, near or far, above all else. We are building a movement committed to the advancement of truly progressive causes in the southwest side of Chicago and beyond, and we hope you’ll join us.

Our Work

The Migra Watch Network and Rapid Response teams work to identify and document ICE activity in the 25th Ward and to support migrants and keep the community safe. Sign up to be part of the Pilsen Migra Watch & Rapid Response teams: bit.ly/pilsenmigrawatch

Pilsen TIF Expansion

The 25th Ward IPO believes that everyone in Pilsen deserves affordable housing, clean air and water, economic opportunity, and so much more. For too long, private developers have gentrified the Pilsen and Little Village communities, causing displacement, economic insecurity, and cultural erasure. With the Pilsen TIF expansion, we see an opportunity for the wealth generated here to stay and be invested towards the highest needs in our community.

Our support for the TIF Expansion comes witha commitment to help build a robust community process for how the TIF should operate based on principles of accountability, transparency, self-determination, and inclusion.
